Chemistry Nobel prizewinners at centenary seminar
For the Finnish Chemical Society’s centenary there will be a celebratory seminar in connection with the Chemistry Days’ ChemBio event, with Nobel prize winners as keynote speakers: Israeli biochemist and crystallography researcher Ada E. Yonath, Scotting chemist Sir J. Fraser Stoddart and US chemist K. Barry Sharpless.
The themes of Chemistry Days include the circular economy, environmental chemistry, food chemistry, energy, chemistry teaching, analytics, radioactive drug chemistry, computational chemistry and safety.
Neuroscience research, artificial intelligence and recycling of plastics
Finnish Bioindustries will produce and coordinate a high-quality seminar programme together with, for example, IBC Finland ry, Loimu ry, Business Finland, Healthtech Finland, BioBio Society, Neurocenter Finland and Biotech Club.
Neuroscience research and artificial intelligence are some of the many themes of the seminars. There will be also a seminar on entrepreneurship and funding together with the Helsinki Think Company of the University of Helsinki. Bioeconomy and foods of the future will also be presented.
Chemical Industry Federation of Finland will present the Save the World programme, this time focusing on plastic recycling and processing. The Security seminar will discuss security and corporate responsibility, with the programme put together jointly by the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland and the authorities.
During the ChemBio Finland event, several prizes will be presented: the Finnish Fair Foundation’s BioFinland prize, Kemian hyväksi prize, the Finnish Chemical Societies’ prize and the Finnish Chemical Society’s Circular Economy Innovation prize.
